HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!!!!!
Labor day was always the “mark” to the close of summer. School had already started and in the boating days this was our last weekend to take the boat out and enjoy the warm weather.
Last night after dinner, the hub and I got a little kick in our sweet tooth. We have NO sweets in our house and neither one of really felt like driving into town to get anything so we wound up going to the gas station down the street. McDonalds is attached to it so I wanted to get a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate. We got there and the machine was broken. :( So, we settled for cookie ice cream sandwiches.
I wasn’t really feeling this so I only ate half.
While we were there the hub rented I Love You, Man! We saw this movie in the theater but it was such a good movie I didn’t mind seeing it again.
A few hours later I got hungry again and didn’t really want to eat anything that late but I knew if I didn’t there was a chance I would either wake up in the middle of the night starving or wake up this morning starving. So, I decided to eat a few grapes.
These kept me satisfied for ummm maybe 30 minutes or so. I got frustrated, gulped some H2O and hit the sack.
Needless to say I woke up starving this morning.
After I took a shower and got dressed I make PANCAKES!!!
I made big ones for Joel and babies for me!
Growing up my dad would always let my sister and I help pour the pancakes and we always made babies. They are so much fun to eat. :)
I ate this little guy why mine were still cooking
Here is my plate full of babies…
They are so fluffy
I also had 3 slices of turkey bacon cooked in the microwave
and a VERY ripe nectarine
This little guy was too juicy and squishy, I decided to only eat 2/3 and throw the rest away before I made a mess.
Today we are suppose to go to the hub’s grandmother’s house for a cookout and to go swimming. She is a nurse on a cruise line and is gone for months at a time so we never get to see her. I just hope the weather stays nice and hot today.
Be back later for a LABOR DAY recap!!!
